WOW. Super long tumblr hiatus. it’s been a whiiiiiiiiiiiiile since i last wrote in this 366 blog. I miss writing about my day, and so much has happened this month that I didn’t get to write about. But better restart now than never, eh?
Anyways, a few highlights of this past month:
LOL I MISSED SCHOOL TODAY. i woke up so late. i decided not to go to school at all.
pretty productive day in my opinion.
finished my vice president recognition application, turned in my ltg elect tasks submission, and finished my essay for english. AWYEAH.
then at 6 i left to go pick up allen and hanna to go to the Region 7 Dance Committee meeting in San Fernando. SO MUCH FUN.
Decorating, planning, seeing our hard work come into reality.
It was really fun (x
We went to Starbucks (WALKING adventure) and then headed to Bea’s house to make a video for Region 7 (DRIVING adventure - 8 people, 1 car. OMG. LOL.)
And then I went home & watched How I Met Your Mother with Ting on webcam (:
Then Brandon joined us & we played omgpop
Oh and I was in like 2 different meetings at the same time as all of this. LOLOOOL.

The usual I guess, school, clubs, EMR.
I’ve been Oovoo-ing with Key Clubbers a lot lately.
LTG Elect work consuming me, but it’s okay.
Led praise & worship at church!
It was a pretty amazing experience, I really enjoyed it!
I think it was pretty powerful, in my opinion.
DAY OF CONCLAVE.
I woke up in the morning, way too early. But I couldn’t go back to sleep. I was way too nervous. I got to Glendale Public Library, and the nerves definitely kicked in. I switched shoes with Trisha cause my feet were killing me and I didn’t want to fall on my face. LOLOL.
Anyways, DCM started and the elects were sitting up on stage. We were all so nervous, omg. After the DCM ended, candidates were sent outside. I WAS GOING TO BE FIRST. OMG.
SO IDHGIOSDGDS WHEN I WENT IN, MY HEART WAS POUNDING. I WALKED UP TO THE STAGE PRAYING TO GOD I WOULDN’T FALL ON MY FACE. MIRACULOUSLY, I MADE IT.
Up at the podium, I began my hook. My voice was shaking so much and I was off key and omg. Then I began my speech. I started getting into it, it wasn’t so bad. Then I started feeling all passionate about it, I think that was a plus. I ALMOST got to the end, then “TIME!” and I had to stop.
Then caucus began. AHH I seriously was so nervous up there I couldn’t remember what people asked me and I couldn’t process my thoughts and answers. But my friends said my answers were pretty good … eh. BUT AH caucus wasn’t so good … sigh.
ANYWAYS after that, I finished and dsigsdiogiosdgyd went back outside with the other candidats.
And then began the most agonizing 2 hours of my life. No joke, that was horrible. Waiting and waiting and waiting and hearing applause coming from the other candidates while they were in there. And more waiting and waiting.
We were all about to have a mental breakdown.
Then it was elimination round. They announced the 2 candidates for South moving on to the next round. MARION AND NICOLE.
Then they each had 1 minute to convince their delegates that they are better suited. They both looked so nervous and worried and omg.
I was sitting in my seat so anxiously (I think Katherine has that on video) LOL
AND THEN IT WAS TIME TO ANNOUNCE THE 2012-2013 LTG ELECTS.
“THE VOTES ARE IN AND THE LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR ELECTS HAVE BEEN DECIDED. DRUM ROLL PLEASE. YOUR 2012-2013 DIVISION 3 NORTH LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR IS ….”
“DIA CABRERA.”
This was the moment my life changed forever. My heart was pounding so hard as I walked up on stage. The tears were already coming. I couldn’t believe it, it didn’t sink in yet. I just … wow. I don’t even know.
“YOUR 2012-2013 DIVISION 3 SOUTH LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR IS ….”
“MARION BARLETA.”
THUNDEROUS APPLAUSE. All of John Marshall jumped up and applauded and just supported their new Lieutenant Governor. AHH, we met on stage and we hugged.
And then Eric gave this speech that he wrote a few months ago. “By the time I am reading this letter … “
Then Division 3 Kiwanis Lieutenant Governor gave a speech.
Man the tears, the tears. They couldn’t stop coming. Even Marion was crying.
This was an amazing moment.
Then conclave ended and there were pictures and hamburgers and talking and planning and gifts and more pictures. My friends are amazing.
Then training began already. LOOOOOOOL.
Me, Eric, and Marion walked over to L&L to get boba and start our LTG training. Then we moved to Starbucks. But yeah. Training already. I’m so excited.
And like … wow. Amazing day. I cannot wait for all the experiences to come.
I still can’t believe it.
MAN, it’s been a while. i need catch up.
This day, I prepared for conclave and whatnot. Lowkey freaking out.
Announced new Key Club board at the Key Club meeting todaaay!

We had our Senior registration today … I seriously cannot believe I’m going to be a senior next year. Where did the rest of high school go?

That was a pretty good meeting I think!
Then TA-ing for EMR. LOOOOOOOL me and Kristen had so many adventures omg.
